An interesting and Informative Talk by Hattie Miles entitled 'Murder at Villa Madeira’ was held at Regency Terrace Christchurch with donations going to Wessex Wishes

This fascinating true story is about the life and murder of Architect, Francis Rattenbury who was found dead at his home in Villa Madeira, Manor Road, Bournemouth in 1935. He was the victim of a violent attack with a carpenter’s mallet.  His wife, Alma Rattenbury had taken a lover, George Stoner who was subsequently charged with his murder.

The talk was kindly arranged by Wessex Wishes committee member Judy Hiscoke who is a resident at Regency Terrace and thanks to the  kindness of the guests a sum of £92 was raised For Wessex Wishes.

Our sincere thanks go to Hattie for giving up her precious time to provide such an interesting talk,  to Judy for arranging it and to the guests for their generous donations which will go directly to the children we support.
